Today, I assisted with the final steps of installing Project Re-stART, a public art installation at the post-industrial site of the former GM Lansing Metal Center on the north side of Saginaw Highway. I went with Liz and Alysha, two of the other interns who helped design the project. Though we haven’t worked on the project since last October, it was exciting to see the progress that the rest of the team has been making. This project has been developing for the last three years, so it’s almost unbelievable that the unveiling is set for next Wednesday, October 28. Below is a sneak peak of the site, taken when we arrived on site for the first time.
