My name is Marcus Fields.
I am a designer and educator living in East Lansing, Michigan. I am interested in conversations at the intersection of education, art, technology, and social justice.
I'm a Designer and maker.
I experiment in a range of artistic expression, including theatre, video production, animation, photography, graphic design, printmaking, and bookmaking among others.
I work in creative makerspaces.
I currently work as Assistant Director of Arts and Media Learning at Michigan State University's Residential College in the Arts and Humanities, a program geared towards preparing students in arts, humanities, and social justice for the public good. I help run three of our college’s technology-rich, student-centered, art-making spaces: a media lab, an art studio, and a theater.
I'm passionate about technology and education.
In December 2022, I graduated from MSU with a Master of Arts in Educational Technology. This program focuses on developing transformational educational leaders who promote equity through creative uses of technology in educational environments.
