This is an experiment in painting in reverse on the back of a transparent surface. After opening a new cell phone case, I pulled an image out of a magazine to copy on the phone case packaging. The process photos below show how I started by painting the yellow words and shapes on the sign then layered the black on afterwards. For the sky, I started with the white of the clouds and covered it with the blue of the sky.  I continued until, when turned around, the full image was revealed on the front of the packaging. They are mounted inside the black box the phone case came in and mounted to foam core.
