This stamp was created using Adobe Illustrator and a digital cutting plotter. The material that was cut is a rubber gasket material from home depot.
The stamp is inspired by the term 'Transculturation,' which is used to describe the phenomenon of merging and converging cultures through a combination of acculturation (acquiring another culture) and deculturation (losing a culture). We explore this concept in detail where I went to college, at the Residential College in the Arts and Humanities.
